The full-time master of healthcare administration (M.H.A.) program is appropriate for applicants with limited or no healthcare work experience, or individuals who wish to make a career change from industries other than health care. Now ranked second in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, the program is accredited by the CAHME. Prerequisites for Admission
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.

Full-time program applicants should have a strong commitment to managing people and resources to create and sustain outstanding healthcare services and organizations. Special Application Requirements:
For the executive program: At least three years of management or clinical leadership experience in a healthcare organization is required. The program reserves the right to require the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Managment Admission Test (GMAT) as a part of the admissions process. For the full-time program: To prepare for the program's rigorous curriculum, the faculty highly recommends the following coursework prior to matriculation: - Statistics - Accounting - Microeconomics - Finance

Program Requirements
Plan C: Plan C requires 42 to 60 major credits and up to credits outside the major. The final exam is oral. A capstone project is required.

Advanced Problem Solving or New Product Design (Full-time MHA students only)
Students choose between the full-time or executive MHA program. 42 credits are required for the Executive MHA program, and 60 required for the full-time program. Students in the full-time program have the option of choosing the Advanced Problem Solving or New Product Design EMPHASIS with the consent of their adviser.
Executive MHA
The Executive MHA is specifically designed for practicing executives, physicians, and other healthcare professionals seeking to advance their management and leadership capabilities. This is a 42-credit, 25-month program.

Assignments feed into a series of deliverables that are presented to the client. Market research emphasizes interviews with prospective customers and experts as well as business model development. Technical solutions are developed through rapid prototyping and concept rendering. Project work iterates between attention to market and technical considerations. Fall & Spring terms offer similar content, although project scope narrows in the Spring term. prereq: MBA student or non-MBA with instructor + MBA program permission.
