The master of business administration program meets the needs of those who are currently employed full-time in professional managerial careers and who would like to pursue a graduate management education while continuing to work full time. The program offers courses in both Duluth and Rochester. Most courses offered in Duluth meet one evening per week from 6 to 9 p.m. during the 15 weeks of the semester. Most courses offered in Rochester meet from 3 to 9:30 p.m. on Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays every other week over a period of 7 weeks. It is possible to enroll in the program on a full-time basis by registering for 6 or more credits per semester.

This program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).

Prerequisites for Admission
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program
is 3.00.
Recent business coursework may be used to waive foundation courses. GMAT is waived for CPA's or applicants with a graduate degree from an accredited institution see college for specific details.
Other requirements to be completed before admission:
Students need to demonstrate competency in the business foundation areas of Accounting, Economics, Operations Management, Organizational Management, Statistics, Financial Management, and Marketing through BUS or PMBA courses, other undergraduate coursework, or competency tests. Students must consult with the MBA Director to determine competency fulfillment.

Use of 4xxx courses toward program requirements is permitted under certain conditions with adviser approval.
A minimum GPA of 2.80
is required for students to remain in good standing.
The MBA program requires completion of 32 MBA credits. The curriculum is structured to be a general MBA program. The graduate-level coursework consists of 21 semester credits in the functional areas of business and its supporting areas, plus a 3-credit capstone policy/strategy course. In addition, all students must complete 8 credits of MBA-level electives, with a minimum of 2 of the elective credits to be cross-functional courses. Up to 6 credits of a field research project leading to a thesis may substitute for 6 credits of the elective requirement. The MBA program expects students to maintain a 2.8 GPA through completion of the program. A cumulative GPA of 2.8 is required for graduation.

At least two credits must be of a cross-functional nature. These are normally fulfilled by taking designated 1 credit cross-functional electives offered regularly. Student can choose to complete a 6 credit field research project that is written as a thesis and presented before a thesis committee instead of elective coursework.
