The theatre minor is for students who want to pursue an interest in theatre that will complement their major program.
Program Delivery

Minor Requirements
Theatre minors should confer with a minor adviser from the Department of Theatre to develop a sound schedule for taking courses to complete the minor in less than four years. Students are advised to note prerequisites and to take courses in proper sequence.

Exploring how to analyze a play from the perspective of those preparing for the production process. Beginning with play structure and theory, the course will examine plays form various periods and styles, using different perspectives to frame the analysis. Student will write analysis papers, learn to do research on various topics from several creative perspectives, and engage in classroom discussions. prereq: 1001 or 1801
TH 4841 - Creative Collaboration

An advanced course in which students work collaboratively to develop original performance pieces from concept to production. The practice-based class will focus on alternative approaches to storytelling, using the theories and methodologies of physical and devised theatre, as well as theatre as social activism. Students work independently to create fully-staged productions. prereq: 2841 or instructor consent; no grad credit; credit will not be granted if already received for TH 2831
TH 3201 - Stage Direction
