Long Term Care Management MinorCCAPS Applied Professional Studies
College of Continuing and Professional Studies
This minor utilizes existing courses in the Health Services Management program to prepare students to lead in the burgeoning field of long-term services and supports. Graduates may lead a nursing home, assisted living facility, independent senior housing, home care, hospice, or other nonprofit that serves older adults and their families. Through this minor, students will be eligible to obtain Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Director credentials in Minnesota. The minor will be open to undergraduate students across the University.

Minor Requirements
Students who wish to obtain the minor AND qualify for a nursing home administrator license must also complete a 1,000 hour practicum: Students should take HSM 4582. Graduate students should take the 6xxx versions of HSM 4541, 4586, 4682, 4683, and 4684.
