Physical Education-Outdoor Education MinorD Applied Human Sciences
College of Education and Human Service Professions
The Physical Education-Outdoor Education minor is only available to Education students. It was designed to prepare Physical Education majors (B.A.Sc.) to teach students with active lifestyle outdoor pursuits in accordance with national standards that are taught in formal school (K-12) settings. However, this minor is appropriate for any student in an education major (K-12) who wishes to incorporate outdoor education into the formal school curriculum in a variety of contexts including physical education, sciences, or social studies. Students not majoring in Education but interested in outdoor education, should consider the Environmental and Outdoor Education Minor.
