Students may be exempt from part or all of the core requirements if they have previously completed studies in Spanish at the high school or college level.

A grade of C or better in SPAN 2301 is required for upper division coursework. With adviser consent, elective courses taken abroad count toward the minor. Students who study abroad take at least two courses at the 3xxx-4xxx level beyond the experience. SPAN 4091-Indep St does not apply to the minor.
