Public Health Education and Promotion MinorD Applied Human Sciences
College of Education and Human Service Professions
Students with other majors who have a strong interest in public health education and promotion may choose to complete this minor. The coursework covers health content and public health education/promotion program planning that would be applicable to various employment settings.

Admission Requirements
A GPA above 2.0 is preferred for the following:
Admission into minor requires a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (including transfer work) and completion of lower division course work. Students already enrolled as majors in CEHSP will be given priority for admission to the public health education and promotion minor. Recommended to declare minor by October 1 for spring semester and March 1 for fall semester. Contact the HPER department for more details.

Minor Requirements
Upper Division (17-18 cr)
Apply for admission to the upper division after completing the lower division courses, earning 60 credits, and having 2.50 GPA.

HLTH 3307 - Conducting and Managing Worksite Health Promotion Programs

Approved electives include any courses 3000 or higher from Health Education, HPER, Coaching, Communication, Exercise Science, Psychology, Recreation/Environmental Education; HLTH 4100 or 5100 are also accepted. Other 3xxx or higher courses with permission from program coordinator.
